New recruits to the government agency ICE are being offered a staggering bonus for joining.
The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been making a lot of headlines lately, all because of President Donald Trump's latest aggressive push on immigration.
Protests recently broke out in Los Angeles, with thousands of citizens from LA and beyond coming together to resist the deportation of immigrants.
Things got so bad that the National Guard was deployed, and a number of injuries among protestors occurred, with the LAPD trampling one man with horses.

The National Guard was deployed under Trump's order after it had been reported that ICE agents were being attacked.
According to reports, ICE is looking to recruit 10,000 new employees, which would see its current headcount double, as the agency continues to push deportation across the US.

Where is the agency getting funding for such an increase in numbers? Well, it will come from $165 billion fund allocated to the Dept of Homeland Security, all thanks to another one of Trump's many bills - this time the sweeping tax and spending bill, AKA Trump's 'big, beautiful bill'.

In case you're in need of a reminder, Trump's bill included the extension of big tax cuts which benefit higher earners, cutting tax on tips and overtime, mass deportation, slashing Medicaid and food stamps, cuts to green energy and much more.
Homeland Security is exasperating its need for agents by throwing it back to World War II style recruitment tactics in the form of posters sprawled with the words 'America Needs You' and 'Defend the Homeland'.
The posters are complete with pictures of Uncle Sam, President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

"Your country is calling you to serve at ICE. This is a defining moment in our nation's history," Noem said in a statement.
So, how much will new ICE recruits be getting?
A staggering $50,000 signing bonus, complete with a $60,000 student loan debt get-out-of-jail-free card.
In case that wasn't enough to ruin your day, they'll also be offered hefty overtime payments and 'enhanced retirement benefits'.

Perhaps this is why former Superman star Dean Cain decided to announce that he was joining ICE in a bid to 'save America'.
Cain starred in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which aired on ABC between 1993-1997.
In a recent Instagram post, Cain urged others to follow suit.

“You can defend your homeland and get great benefits,” he said in the now-viral clip.
"If you want to help save America ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America's streets," he continued, before adding: "I voted for that."
