Elon Musk has been savagely trolled after many people on the internet spotted what was written on a piece in front of him during a cabinet meeting.

Musk heads up the Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE) within Donald Trump's Administration, which is tasked with cutting federal costs, modernizing federal technology, ending fraud and a waste of taxpayer money, while improving overall governmental productivity.

Considering the Twitter owner doesn't have much experience as a politician, he does hold a key role within the Trump administration and is involved in cabinet meetings.

You'd typically expect cabinet meetings to be kept top secret, but you'll all know Trump does things rather differently and the TV cameras are often allowed inside these usually confidential meetings.

And a photo of the Tesla founder in one of these meetings has gone viral after many on the internet pointed out the words written on his notepad.

"Top Secret!!" was scribbled on in blue ink as the Trump administration gathered on Thursday (April 10) for a cabinet meeting.

Such note has seen many on the internet troll Musk, with one person penning on Twitter: "Underlined twice, two exclamation points. The most top secret."

A second on Reddit added: "This is what you would do for an 8-year old visiting their parent on take your kid to work day to make them feel included. I bet they even ordered him McDonald's."

While a third remarked: "I just know that he thought he was hilarious."

UNILAD has reached out to Musk via Tesla for comment.

While some question what Musk actually does within Trump's government, the 47th POTUS headed praise on the billionaire last month.

"Thank you, Elon. He’s working very hard. He didn’t need this. He didn’t need this. Thank you very much, we appreciate it," Trump said.

"... Under the Trump administration, all of these scams — and there are far worse — but I didn’t think it was appropriate to talk about them. They’re so bad. Many more have been found out and exposed and swiftly terminated by a group of very intelligent, mostly young people headed up by Elon, and we appreciate it. We found hundreds of billions of dollars of fraud.

"And we’ve taken back the money and reduced our debt to fight inflation and other things — taken back a lot of that money. We got it just in time. This is just the beginning."
