Donald Trump has warned of a wider conspiracy as he reflected on the issues he experienced during a UN meeting.

President Trump appeared to be pretty frustrated after reflecting on his UN meeting this week.

While the president did deal with a few technical issues speaking at the General Assembly in New York City, his reaction to it has proved to be quite alarming.

While taking an escalator within the building, it turned off, forcing him and Melania Trump to walk up the rest of the way.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt suggested the escalator issue could have been caused intentionally and pointed to a report by the Times of London newspaper on Sunday which stated that UN staff members had joked that they would turn off the escalators and ‘tell him they ran out of money’, amid sweeping US funding cuts.

Trump also dealt with a teleprompter issue and has also revealed there were audio issues when giving his speech.

Stephane Dujarric, a spokesperson for UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, addressed the escalator and teleprompter issue in a statement.

He said that the escalator issue occurred simply because someone in front of Trump accidentally set off a safety mechanism on the escalator, causing it to stop.

He added: “Regarding the teleprompter, we have no comment since the teleprompter for the US president is operated by the White House.”

Reflecting all of these issues on in a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump went off at the UN and warned that he would be launching an investigation into the matter.

The post read in part: “This was absolutely sabotage, as noted by a day’s earlier 'post' in The London Times that said UN workers 'joked about turning off an escalator.' The people that did it should be arrested!

“... after making the Speech, I was told that the sound was completely off in the Auditorium where the Speech was made, that World Leaders, unless they used the interpreters’ earpieces, couldn’t hear a thing.”

He closed by insisting the Secret Service was involved and added: “This wasn’t a coincidence, this was triple sabotage at the UN. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. I’m sending a copy of this letter to the Secretary General, and I demand an immediate investigation.”

People on Twitter were taken aback from Trump’s fury with one person writing: “Off with their heads!!! This fool thinks he’s a king. I’m [sure] pretty soon. He’ll ask for a guillotine to be installed on the White House lawn.”

Another added: “Trump's so vain and thin skinned he needs people arrested when his escalators doesn't work. Trump's just behaving like a mega baby.”

A third wrote: “Perfect example of first world problems. ‘I had to walk an entire flight of stairs. Wah.’ Gimme a f***king break.”

With another simply added: “The most fragile man alive.”
