Runaway teen who walked into police station four years after disappearing reunites with family

Alicia Navarro has finally been reunited with her family

Alicia Navarro has been reunited with her family after disappearing four years ago.

Navarro was just 14 years old when she went missing in 2019, and her whereabouts were unknown until she walked into a Montana police station earlier this year.

A man has since been charged in connection to the case.

Edmund Davis, 36, was charged with two counts of felony child sex abuse resulting from child pornography last week after police reportedly found illegal content on his electrical devices.

Police came across the concerning content on his devices during a warrant to search his property relating to Navarro's disappearance.

Davis had previously been identified as Navarro's boyfriend.

A police report stated: "On 07/26/2023 a search warrant was executed on an apartment in which Alicia Navarro and Edmund Davis were residing in.

"Edmund had been seen in the presence of Alicia before she went to the Havre PD and was later identified as Alicia's boyfriend."

Now, over four years on from going missing, Navarro has been reunited with her family.

Speaking in a Facebook video posted yesterday (November 1), Navarro's mother, Jessica Nunez, explained that she was sharing the video in lieu of doing a press conference that was scheduled for this week.

Alicia Navarro turned up at a Montana police station nearly four years after disappearing.

"The support, prayers and love my family has received from all over the world the last four years have been truly inspiring," she said in the video.

"This has been a very difficult journey, but it has a happy ending."

Nunez continued: "Today, my family is complete again.

"I cannot say thank you enough to Glendale Police Department and the Anti-Predator Project to their dedication to bringing my daughter home.

"I would also like to thank the media for their support over the last four years and helping to keep my daughter's case alive."

She went on to say that the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas will be 'very special this year' in light of Navarro's safe return.

Nunez added that she will not be doing any interviews, but took the time to wish everyone a happy holiday season.

Alicia's mum Jessica Nunez thanked everyone for their support.

People took to the comments section of the post to share their warm wishes to the family.

Someone said: "My heart is so happy for you. I've been through what you have with my own daughter, but no where near as long as you.

"I will keep your family in my thoughts as you all heal."

"Kindest post. Bless you and your family as you heal," said a second.

A third person went on: "My heart is happy for you. May your healing journeys begin. I wish you all the very best. God is with all of you always."

As per the New York Post, Nunez and Navarro are no longer living in Arizona.

Their new location was not disclosed.
