Alex Murdaugh’s son has admitted that his dad has psychopathic characteristics in an explosive new interview.
Murdaugh, 54, was convicted in March of shooting dead his wife Maggie, 52, and younger son, Paul, 22, on his family’s South Carolina estate in June 2021.
Paul was shot twice with a 12-gauge shotgun in the kennels of their 1,700-acre Moselle estate - the second shot almost blowing his brain entirely from his skull.

Prosecutors surmised that Murdaugh then grabbed a .300 Blackout semiautomatic rifle and fired on his wife as she fled.
Maggie was shot five times in total after falling to her knees.
Murdaugh ultimately confessed to lying about his alibi on the night of the crimes.
Since then, Murdaugh's remaining living son, Buster, 29, has spoke about the events that have ripped through his family.

In the new Fox Nation series, The Fall of the House of Murdaugh, Buster said that while it is a 'fair assessment' to label his father as a psychopath, he does not believe that his father murdered his mother and brother.
During a sit down interview with Fox News' Martha MacCallum, Buster spoke openly about his father, the murder trial, and the death of his high school classmate, Stephen Smith.
In a preview clip released by the network ahead of the full interview going live on Thursday (31 August), Buster said: "I'm not prepared to sit here and say that it encompasses him as a whole, but certainly, I think there are characteristics where you look at the manipulation and the lies and the carrying out of that such and I think that is a fair assessment."

Still, Buster does not believe that this father killed his mother and brother despite the fact he's behind bars for their murder.
"I do not think that he could be affiliated with endangering my mother and brother," he said.
"We have been here for a while now and that’s been my stance."

Instead, Buster believes that a killer is still on the loose, saying that he 'absolutely' fears for his own safety.
"I think I set myself up to be safe, But yes, when I go to bed at night, I have a fear that there is somebody that is still out there," he said.
The bombshell interview comes just weeks after audio taken from a jail call between Murdaugh and Buster was released.
The audio, obtained by local outlet FITSNews under a Freedom of Information Act request, is certainly rather awkward.
