Disturbing AI creates the 'worst celeb couples' imaginable and people are horrified

As if the future wasn't weird enough as it is

I am about 50 percent sure this was the sole reason some people pushed for more artificial intelligence... to create the most bizarre celebrity couples ever.

I’m sure the use of artificial intelligence has a whole host applications in the modern world, but while we figure those out, we can see entertain ourselves with some of the more unnerving stuff.

A video has gone viral on social media and it is terribly creepy. We aren’t talking creatures of the deep or some other Eldrich horrors but rather, celebs and famous people you simply can’t picture getting together, doing exactly that.

The clip, shared on Twitter on January 3, shows some of the oddest celebrity pairings, including North Korea’s Kim Jung Un and Taylor Swift and activist Greta Thunberg and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

On the still unbelievable but less creepy side, there is the pairing of Rihanna and Joe Biden as well as former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Cardi B.

And personally, I don’t really know how to feel about Pope Francis and Kim Kardashian getting together.

People on social media really did let their feelings known, however.

One person wrote: “This is hilarious, and horrifying.”

With another commenting: “PutingxGreta is the worst thing I've seen in a while. Bleach to my eyes!”

While a third simply wrote: “This is cursed.”

And another added: “And just like that, I’ve reached my level of ‘ewww’ for the day.”

With a fifth person writing: “Well you did it. You managed to gross out the entire internet. Congrats.”

While it might all seem like all fun and games right now, some experts have warned about just how artificial intelligence can shape humanity for the worse.

Many people even pointed out just how realistic the video looked in the first place.

Dr Geoffrey Hinton is a cognitive psychologist and computer scientist, who has worked for Google, recently reflected on the dangers of AI.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today program, Dr Hinton said: "You see, we've never had to deal with things more intelligent than ourselves before.

“And how many examples do you know of a more intelligent thing being controlled by a less intelligent thing? There are very few examples.”

He continued: “I didn't think it would be where we would be now. I thought at some point in the future we would get here.

"Because the situation we're in now is that most of the experts in the field think that sometime, within probably the next 20 years, we're going to develop AIs that are smarter than people.

"And that's a very scary thought.”
