Saving Private Ryan actor Tom Sizemore in critical condition after suffering brain aneurysm

His manager confirmed the news

Saving Private Ryan star Tom Sizemore has been left in 'critical condition' after suffering a brain aneurysm.

The 61-year-old actor's manager Charles Lago confirmed the news of the disorder, which is caused by a blood vessel bulge in a person's brain.

Speaking to Fox News, Lago said: "He is in the hospital. His family is aware of the situation and are hoping for the best.

"It is too early to know about [a] recovery situation as he is in critical condition and under observation."

The manager also spoke to TMZ about the incident, which he said unfolded at around 2am on Saturday (February 18) when Sizemore was at his Los Angeles home.

Someone found the actor after he fell unconscious and quickly rang the emergency services. Sizemore was rushed to the hospital where he is now in intensive care.

Sizemore is best known for his role in the Tom Hanks-starring Saving Private Ryan, as well as Black Hawk Down and Natural Born Killers.
