If you've been anywhere near the internet recently, then you'll know that Rihanna performed a spectacular halftime show at the 2023 Super Bowl.

But while the show, which saw the 'Diamonds' singer unveil her second pregnancy, had many, many fans, it has also been slammed too.

This is because, for a lot of viewers, the whole thing was simply 'too sexual' - so much so that they felt the need to allegedly make official complaints.

As reported by TMZ, the Federal Communications Commission - the regulating body for television - received a whopping 103 complaints about the Super Bowl.

Almost all of them were from people who took umbrage with the 'Umbrella' singer's performance.

The show saw Rihanna sing some of her best-known songs while accompanied by a troupe of dancers who busted some pretty provocative moves.

Needless to say, as Rihanna is currently pregnant, she wasn't doing as much dancing as the troupe, who the majority of complaints were clearly levelled at.

But that didn't stop one viewer from slamming Rihanna herself, despite her limited number of dance moves.

They wrote: "She spread her a** cheek at the crack. She rubbed her pants where her labia were three times."

Drawing comparisons between the performance and the spectacle put on by Sam Smith and Kim Petras at the Grammys, one upset viewer questioned where 'decency' has gone.

They wrote: "I don't care what someone worships but children shouldn't be exposed to pornography and as an adult I don't wish to see it... Where has decency gone? How about respect for others and self?"

Another viewer who deemed Rihanna's performance 'pornographic' wrote: "This year the halftime show was so indecent I had to turn off the TV because of the pornographic content."

However, while some people weren't happy about the content of the show, other viewers thought there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.

One viewer remarked: "I don't understand the outrage about the halftime show. I thought it was great! I was impressed it wasn’t overly sexual or politicised.

"Rihanna played some BANGERS. There wasn't any huge scandal. Like what more could we have asked for?!"

"Did we all watch the same halftime show what was too sexual about Rihanna's performance [sic]," questioned a second.

A third didn't necessarily disagree that the performance was too sexual, but argued that Rihanna is far from the first artist to do it.

"The people who though Rihanna's performance was too sexual must have never seen a Super Bowl in their life," they remarked.
