An OnlyFans star has opened up on the devastating dark side of producing adult content.

Mikaela Testa makes more than $160,000 per month on the X-rated platform, according to News Corp, and should be on cloud nine as a result.

However, she's since revealed that there are people closest to her that don't approve of her form of making money.

In an Instagram Q&A with her fans, she was asked what her family thought when they found out what she does for a living.

She responded with: "They disowned me and haven’t spoken to me since.”

Not having the support of your parents and family can be a fairly brutal experience.

But she's not the only person to be cut off due to OnlyFans.

Kayla Jade recently disclosed that she has also been given the cold shoulder as a result of her line of work.

However, her family had a hectic way of finding out.

A male relative of Kayla's posted pictures from her account to the rest of her family.

Kayla said when she got into OnlyFans she didn't tell her family about it but she wasn't trying to keep it a secret either.

"I wasn't gonna bother hiding it because I knew it would come out eventually," she said.

She knew her pictures were going to get some traction on social media, so it probably was only a matter of time before they made their way to her loved ones.

"My goal was to be super successful so I wasn't gonna bother trying to hide it from friends or family because I knew it was just gonna come out," she said.

"As time went on I got bigger and bigger and people started seeing my stuff.

"Friends started seeing my stuff and eventually my family saw it. When my mum and sister found out they couldn't even confront me about it, they had to ask my dad to call me about it."

Funnily enough, her dad was actually okay with it.

Kayla said her father was 'so grounded and super supportive' of her OnlyFans work when he called to ask about what she's doing.

However, this sentiment wasn't shared by the rest of the family.

She found that 'no one could really look me in the eyes and talk to me about it' and then one day, she got a message from a member of the family 'completely disowning me'.
