After graduating from the University of Leeds with a degree in French and History, he went on to write for the Manchester Evening News, the Accrington Observer and the Macclesfield Express. So as you can imagine, he’s spent many a night wondering just how useful that second language has been. But c'est la vie.

MrBeast said that he was once broken into and almost lost a fortune.

Luckily for the YouTuber, though, the thief happened to be a 'f**king moron' and stole everything except for his Bitcoin:

Now, anyone who has some money in the ether will know that it's kept in a digital wallet, with a key needed to access it.

But while most people tend to keep their password hidden, and well out of sight of prying eyes, MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - didn't do that. No.

Speaking on the Flagrant podcast, he said: "I had a laptop, and [right next to it] was written my private key. It just said 'Bitcoin private key'."

MrBeast had previously shared with his millions of followers that he had a huge chunk of Bitcoin after its value skyrocketed to $2m, having invested $100,000 (£82,000).

At the time, he claimed that it was 'every dollar to [his] name', and was understandably terrified that it might have been taken.

MrBeast almost lost $2 million of Bitcoin.

However, when he booted up his computer, which had been left, he saw that someone was certainly looking down on him.

It turned out that the thief hadn't managed to get at his precious crypto, and he was able to make sure that it was better protected in the future.

"That robber's a f**king moron," Mr Beast said. "He's busy stealing my TV, my f**king blanket, instead of the f**king Bitcoin that was sitting right there."

Elsewhere in the chat, MrBeast opened up about how he met his current girlfriend, Thea Booysen.

The 24-year-old told the host that when he meets someone, he has to put them 'through these tests, because like, I don't, I don't really get along with women'.

But what are these 'tests' he speaks of?

Mr Beast explained his girlfriend criteria.

Explaining how he met Thea, MrBeast said that he was having dinner with a friend when she walked in.

"I was like holy s**t this girl is beautiful,” he said. "But I have to go through the test.”

"There's just certain things where if you have these traits we'll get along really well, and if you don't, it's impossible for us to hang out... So I had to put her through the ringer and start asking questions."

He went on: "If I meet a girl that's like beautiful and we have these 10 traits, like, we're gonna be literally best friends, right?"

MrBeast explained that he quizzed her on her hobbies and interests, to 'get a feel' for what she was about, and whether she was really interested in learning, which is a big one for him.

And fortunately for the pair of them, she 'checked all the boxes', with his partner telling him that she was an author and was doing a neuroscience degree 'just for fun'.
