McDonald's customer left outraged after noticing 'ridiculous' company sauce policy

They were not lovin' it

McDonald’s fans are up in arms after seeing one store's sauce policy for McNuggets orders.

We know we have failed as a modern society when our Chicken McNuggets are left dry and sauceless.

Well... not actually but some fans are certainly on their last straw as they consider the new normal at McDonald’s stores.

There's nothing more annoying than your food order just not hitting the mark because you don’t have access to enough ketchup, mayo, BBQ, or Sweet 'n' Sour sauce.

A video that has recently gone viral on social media has given many fans of the golden arches franchise a chance to vent about how stingy it can get with its sauces these days.

It seems gone are the days where you can ask for an extra packet of sauce and be handed it with a smile and no additional cost.

TikTok user @brymarixx shared a clip of a poster at a McDonald’s drive thru in a video that has been viewed more than 850,000 times.

The poster reads: “Chicken McNuggets Sauce Policy: 4pc = 1 sauce, 6pc = 2 sauce, 10pc = 3 sauce, 20pc = 5 sauce and 40pc = 8 sauce.

“There will be an additional charge for EXTRA condiments.”

The poster even has the fast food chain's slogan at the bottom. No, I am not lovin' it.

The user jokingly added overlay text to the video which read ‘McDonald’s has chosen violence in 2024’ to voice her frustration at their policy.

Shouting loudly in her car, she says: "When did this happen? Why? Why? What are you going to start doing? Charging us?"

It's not clear which franchise this was at.

What do you think of the policy?

In response to the video, one user wrote: "When I order on DoorDash and they never give me my sauce like why are the workers so stingy you don’t own the place."

Another frustrated user added: "This is a slap in the face considering how much they’ve raised their prices."

Someone else commented: "The worst is when you pay for extra sauce and they don’t even put it in the bag... happened one too many times."

And a fourth wrote: "A multi billion dollar company can even afford just to give you sauce that's so ridiculous."

However, others did defend McDonald’s and insisted that realistically that was more than enough sauce for the orders.

McDonald's has previously addressed why some restaurants charge extra for sauce and some don't, with its website stating: "The reason is that a significant proportion of our restaurants are owned by franchisees who set their own prices - some charge for extra sauces if they are not part of a meal option."
