Investigation into Marilyn Manson sexual abuse claims concludes and charges could follow

Investigation into Marilyn Manson sexual abuse claims concludes and charges could follow

The investigation looked into incidents which took place between 2009 and 2011.

A 19-month police investigation into Marilyn Manson has concluded, and prosecutors will now decide whether to file criminal charges following allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence against the singer.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department passed on details of the case to the Attorney’s Office on Monday (19 September).

No details were revealed regarding the investigation, but is has been confirmed that detectives were looking into alleged incidents dating between 2009 and 2011 said to have taken place near Manson’s home in West Hollywood.

Manson's attorney has said the allegations are ‘provably false.’

Manson’s house has already been searched and police have already seized media devices, among other items.

None of the alleged victims have been identified by authorities, but several have come forward to claim they were physically, sexually and emotionally abused by Manson in a timeframe that roughly matches the incidents under investigation.

Some have filed lawsuits against Manson, which includes Game of Thrones actor Esme Bianco, who gave interviews to law enforcement, according to comments made by her attorney.

Things have also turned sour very quickly between Manson and his former fiancée Evan Rachel Wood, after the Westwood actress claimed she had been 'horrifically abused' by Manson in an 2021 Instagram post.

An extract from her post read: “I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”

It has prompted a number of other women to come forward, but Manson has hit back by filing a lawsuit against Wood, calling her allegations 'fabricated' and that Wood and another woman used 'false pretences including a phony letter from the FBI to convince other women to come forward'.

Manson has sued Evan Rachel Wood and artist Illma Gore for defamation, fraud and conspiracy.

Wood’s legal representatives have said Mason's suit against her was an example of threats he made against Wood if she ever spoke out publicly about the alleged abuse.

Manson denied all allegations when the investigation began last year and said at the time: “Obviously, my life and my art have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.

“My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
