Kanye West has compared himself to George Floyd in another bizarre rant caught on camera by a crowd of paparazzi.

Ye told the gathered media that he has been 'humbled' in the wake of Adidas dropping his Yeezy business deal, which was one of several companies who severed ties with him following his controversial comments.

The rapper revealed these cancelled deals saw him lose $2 billion in one day.

West compared the experience to having a 'knee on my neck'; just like Floyd's 2020 death at the hands of police.

"When I see that video as a black person, it hurts my feelings. And I know that police do attack and America is generally racist," he told the to photographers, as per the Daily Mail.

"And I understand that when we got to say Black Lives Matter, that the idea of it made us feel good together as a people, right?"

He added: "So when I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt my people. I want to apologise. Because God has shown me by what Adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, I know how it feels to have a knee on my neck now."

West, 45, also reached out to the Floyd family in an Instagram post as the family's lawyers prepare to take him to court.

They're launching a $250 million lawsuit against the rapper after he spread a conspiracy theory about Floyd's death by saying he thought fentanyl was to blame, rather than a police officer kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes.

"To the Floyd family: I apologised to you and the black community for my comments on Drink Champs. Humbly. Now Come get Roxie before she messes up all y’all money," Ye said on Instagram.

Roxie Washington is Floyd's ex partner and the mother to his daughter.

Ye made the comments on YouTube podcast show Drink Champs and his claims sparked outrage amongst many in the United States.

During the now-infamous Drink Champs chat, West made his conclusions after watching Candace Owens' documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM.

"One of the things that his two roommates said was they want a tall guy like me, and the day that he died, he said a prayer for eight minutes."

The 45-year-old added: "They hit him with fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that."

Both Kanye West and George Floyd's family have been approached for comment.
