Biohacker who spends $2,000,000 to ‘live forever’ breaks down his daily routine and it is staggering

A self-proclaimed biohacker who has spent over $2 million to 'live forever' has revealed his entire daily routine which keeps him allegedly de-aging.

You may have heard of Bryan Johnson, and if not, where have you been, Loca?

This guy has been taking part in a lengthy, intense and very expensive experimental medical program in his bid to age backwards, and you have to give him credit where credit is due.

It’s working for sure.

Whether it's following a strict diet or using his son's blood, Johnson has done just about everything to make sure he looks younger than his chronological age.

While he may be in his late 40s, the biohacker admitted that he has a 'heart of 37-year-old' and the 'lung capacity of an 18-year-old' thanks to his daily routine.

To explain his life, and to stick it to the naysayers, he went on the UK This Morning show to tell everyone exactly what he’s doing, and how is has been working for him.

Explaining how he is eating his meals from his strict diet before 11am and going to sleep at 8:30pm, the 47-year-old is loving the results it brings forth.

He began to detail his life whilst sitting opposite hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: “I should probably prime and say because what I'm going to say is probably pretty alarming to a lot of people, right. But I do spend five hours every day going through my longevity protocol, okay?

“It begins at 4:30 in the morning where I do a series of- I put, I get light in my eyes, I take my temperature, I do an hour of exercise, I do 20 minutes of sauna, I do 90 minutes of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and six minutes of red and near light. And then I have a lot of vegetables, berries, nuts, seeds, extra virgin olive oil.

“I have become the most measured person in human history.”

So, how does he fit it all in?

4.30am: Wake up, UV free light, muscle and fat measurements

Johnson previously explained his morning to The Telegraph, stating: “I get up around 4.30am, waking naturally.

“I measure my body temperature through my ear and then do three minutes of 10,000 Lux light, because I wake up before the sun. That sets my circadian rhythm and mood.”

5.30am: 1 hour of exercise

If that didn’t make him feel good enough to set the day right, he then decides to exercise vigorously for one hour.

He said: “I do an hour in the gym every day and one-to-three HIIT (high-intensity interval training) sessions per week. I also do zone 2 (exercising at a low-to-moderate intensity, targeting a heart rate between 60-70 percent of your maximum), such as light jogging, rowing, cycling and elliptical training.”

6.45am: Breakfast, sauna and red light therapy

Now, he’s spoken about his diet at great length, but breakfast is just a pitstop to his sauna session.

He shared: “At the moment I’m doing a ‘sauna protocol’: 20 minutes every day at 200F [93C]. In that session I sweat 18oz, with 34 milligrams of sodium per ounce. So I consume around 96 ounces [2.8 litres] of liquid per day that I put potassium, magnesium and salt in.”

Following a vegan diet, he explained that the only ‘non-plant-based thing I do are collagen peptides supplements’.

All in all, he consumes ‘2,250 calories a day, which is about 10 per cent caloric restriction. That includes 130g of protein, 206g of carbs, 101g of fat.’

7am: Oxygen therapy

Recently, Johnson took part in 90 days of using hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a form of medical treatment where a patient breathes pure oxygen in a special chamber with increased air pressure, which allows the body to absorb significantly more oxygen.

Johnson completed 60 sessions over the period of 90 days, lasting 90 minutes in duration and revealed he saw a 300 percent growth in blood vessels and a 1000 percent increase in akkermansia, which is linked to improved gut and metabolic health

9am: Lunch

With such a strict diet, Johnson makes sure to get as much nutrients as he can before his 18-hour fast begins.

He explained his diet needs: “I find my protein in legumes (lentils, edamame, chickpeas), pea and hemp protein, and from collagen peptides. There are also small amounts in things such as cauliflower and broccoli.

“I also consume a lot of olive oil. I put it in my protein shakes and vegetables.”

Johnson previously shared that with every meal, he has one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.

11am: Last meal of the day, and supplements

Now, just before his fast begins, Johnson admitted to taking ‘about 40’ supplements which includes ‘basic things such as vitamin D, E, glycerin, magnesium, as well as some advanced things like creatine and calcium alpha-ketoglutarate’.

As for food, he explained: “You want to eat your final meal of the day at least four hours before bed. And exercise in the evening is bad for you. I also journal, so that when my head hits the pillow I’m not thinking about my day.”

8.30pm: Sleep for 8 hours and 34 mins

Phew, after all that, it’s no surprise he’s going to sleep so early. But for him, it’s more about sleep quality and creating that environment to get the best sleep possible.

He shared that after a long day, he winds down and sleeps for exactly 8 hours and 34 minutes.
