Ever thought you are eating Pringles wrong? Well, people on the internet have been left stunned after seeing the 'correct way' to eat the crisp snack.

To be honest, when the majority of us delve into some sour cream & onion, we are not really thinking about the way we should be eating them.

But there is in fact a 'correct' way we should be shoving Pringles down our gob, and the correct way is one that will surprise many crips lovers.

In a post on TikTok, @cookinhungry explained: “Do you know there’s a correct way to eat Pringles? Most of us eat Pringles like this, we put the curved part on our mouth and just eat it like that, right?”

He then flips over the crisp and adds: “You’re actually supposed to it like this and the reason is most of the seasoning on Pringles are on the top.

“If you rub a Pringle, you can actually feel all the seasoning on this side.”

Many flocked to the comments section of the TikTok video, with one penning: "Lol if that how we are suppose to eat them that's how they should have put them in the containers."

People have been left stunned.

While another proclaimed they had already been doing it the correct way all this time.

The debate as to how Pringles should be consumed has also taken place on X, formerly known as Twitter.

An X user posted two photos to the social media site, one with the correct method to eat Pringles, and the other with the incorrect way.

"There is only one correct way to eat Pringles and it is salty side down," they penned.

"Are you saying only one side of a pringle had the flavour?" a fellow X user asked in the comments.

"You're making this up. I'm REDACTED old, and I have never noticed an imbalance in their salty coating," another added.

You don’t have to just take the word of a bunch of social media users, either.

The crisps are seasoned on one-side.

Pringles’ parent company Kelloggs confirmed that the crisps are only sprinkled with seasoning on one side.

A spokesperson told the Metro: “Many people think that Pringles are seasoned on both sides.

“In fact, only the top side gets a sprinkling of seasoning in the factory.

“When Pringles are stacked in their can, some of the seasoning rubs off onto the next chip – which is why they’ve always been a little uneven.”

Whether or not that stops you from chowing down on them the moment you open them, is another story altogether. As we all know, once you pop, you can't stop.
