Many people on the internet have been left terrified after spotting an 'unsettling' detail in a woman's mukbang video that looks to have been created through artificial intelligence (AI).

While advancements in technology is an exciting time for a lot of people, the subsequent presence of AI in particular has a lot of folks worried.

Many famous figures have spoken about AI; both Stephen Hawking and Bill Gates have shared warnings regarding it, meanwhile, people like Elon Musk are already using it within their businesses.

And there's also the real threat of AI pushing people out of their day job in the future.

It's even getting to the point where it's become difficult to distinguish what is real and what has been created through AI.

Over the past few months the 'mukbang' trend has taken over 'For you' feeds, which involves influencers filming themselves eating large amounts of food, interacting with viewers and often incorporating ASMR elements.

The term 'mukbang' comes from South Korea, with the trend a combination of the Korean words for 'eating' and 'broadcast'.

One woman decided to take part in the trend, as a viral eight-second clip sees her sitting in front of an assortment of seafood. The woman picked up what looked to be a lobster claw and put the whole thing in her mouth, impressively swallowing it with just one bite.

"Y'all, this about to get messy but it's gon' be worth it," she explained to the camera, before adding: "Nah, this hit a little different."

The video is AI-generated, with a pot of sauce seen coming out of the claw she was holding, which may be an obvious giveaway.

It's certainly a small detail however, and the non eagle-eyed viewers amongst us could certainly miss it.

Many have flocked to Twitter since watching the video, and it's fair to say a lot of people have been left feeling a little uneasy.

"The next few years of Ai video is gonna be so wild," one person penned.

A second added: "This is fascinating but also a bit unsettling. Really makes you wonder where the line between real and AI content will be in a year from now. Have you noticed any tells that give away these are AI-generated?"

While a third quipped: "AI is getting way too good, bruh. The only tell was that she ate the bone."

Whatever the future holds for AI, there's no doubt the world will be watching on with a mixture of excitement and dread.
