A Colorado woman has been charged with second-degree murder after ‘cutting off’ her partner’s genitals and subsequently disposing of it.

On Tuesday (14 May), at approximately 8:50pm, cops from the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the Woodspring Suites hotel for call about an unresponsive male.

A department press released identified a woman, 32-year-old Shenting Guo, as someone facing murder charges.

According to the affidavit in support of warrantless arrest obtained by the outlet PEOPLE, Guo 'believed her boyfriend was dead but couldn't provide a reason why'.

The dispatcher said the woman was 'hysterical' while she was given instructions on how to perform CPR, as per the affidavit.

When police officers arrived at the scene of the incident, they saw a bed with a large amount of blood on it.

And through their investigation, officers spotted a naked, unresponsive man lying on his back with his feet under the bed, the affidavit went on.

A new release from the police department added that the unidentified male had a suspected knife wound and that he was pronounced dead at the scene.

However, as officers were performing CPR 'they noticed the man's penis appeared to be cut off.'

On top of that, the man was suffering from 'apparent trauma to his genitalia'.

As for the stab wound, officers noticed that on the man's leg, though it remains unclear how recent the wound was.

The shocking story does not conclude there though as police officers found 'a severed penis in the trash can' inside of the hotel room of where the incident happened, according to the affidavit.

Police shorty identified Guo as a suspect as she was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday (22 May), according to online court records.

The affidavit obtained by PEOPLE details more surrounding the woman's arrest, as she allegedly told an officer to 'arrest her now'.

Guo apparently explained how the man was her 'boyfriend/fiancé/husband', saying that she got into an argument with the man because he wouldn't let her go to sleep.

The affidavit alleges that Guo stabbed the man in the leg that morning before also telling officers that she thought the man 'got her pregnant again.'

The couple allegedly argued over who was the father's baby, with policing alleging that Guo admitted to stabbing the man in the leg.

“She said she was not trying to kill him, but admitted to stabbing him because she was ‘so angry,’“ the affidavit says.

It went on to state that she then cut off the man's penis.
