Conspiracy theorist thinks Joe Biden is being played by several actors including Jim Carrey

If you thought we might get a break from the madness in 2023, think again – a video has emerged showing a conspiracy theorist who thinks Joe Biden is being played by several actors including Jim Carrey.

From the rise and fall of Alex Jones to the never-ceasing Flat Earth society, we truly are living in the golden age of conspiracy theories. And this was only exacerbated by the pandemic.

One person who has been at the centre of scrutiny is the President of the United States.

Ever since his election, numerous rumours have circulated and expanded, and a majority of them are based on the idea that Biden is too old and sick to work, or make any kind of appearances as president.

Some have taken this idea even further by some who believe he’s already dead, and the man claiming to be the POTUS is actually an imposter.

Shining new light on this fascinating subculture of people is one half of The Good Liars duo Jason Selvig, who caught up with a couple of Americans to discuss their thoughts on the ongoing theory.

Somehow keeping a straight face throughout, Selvig asks the pair: "You think Biden is not alive right now?"

The woman replies: "No, the guy that's doing the stand-up job of trying to wake people up is an actor wearing a mask."

We all know how much conspiracy theorists hate masks, eh?

She adds, "There are several different people playing Joe Biden at this point," before going on to discuss the moment the president stumbled a few times while climbing the stairs to board Air Force One.

And there's one comedian, in particular, the woman believes 'the powers that be' booked to do the job.

"When he fell up the stairs going on the airplane, I myself think that was Jim Carrey," she says. "I've heard that he was one of them."

Clearly blown away by the declaration, Selvig asks her to confirm she's saying what she appears to be saying.

Not only does she say yes, but she also goes on to suggest actor James Woods is another of the 'doppelgänger mask-wearing people'.

To be fair, 2023 might calm down on the conspiracy theory front, as this video was in fact shared earlier last year.

Carrey himself even responded to the interview, simply writing: "Oh dear."

The Good Liars took the opportunity to crack a joke, writing to The Mask star: "Be honest, was the woman we interviewed in this clip just you in a mask?"

You've got to laugh, eh? Or else you'll cry.
