Bella Hadid has claimed that she's lost out on jobs after showing support for Palestine.

The half-Palestinian supermodel opened up about her Free Palestine activism and the impact it's had on her career.

Back in 2021 Bella was even condemned by the state of Israel for attending a pro-Palestine march and using her social media to advocate.

The 25-year-old has long been vocal about her support for Palestine, where her father Mohamed Hadid was born before fleeing with his family amid the 1947-49 war.

Since being in the public eye, Bella has made her feelings clear and in June told her followers on Instagram: "Everyday I wish I could go back in time, to when I was a child, so that I could start fighting for Palestine sooner. For my family, for my elders, our history and for the people of Palestine still living, now, through this treacherous, exhausting and painful occupation."

Bella doesn't just advocate on social media, she's also attended several pro-Palestine marches.

In 2021 she attended a rally in New York alongside Pose actor Indya Moore.

She was promptly condemned by the state of Israel on Twitter, which wrote: "When celebrities like @BellaHadid advocate for throwing Jews into the sea, they are advocating for the elimination of the Jewish State. This shouldn't be an Israeli-Palestinian issue. This should be a human issue. Shame on you. #IsraelUnderAttack."

And that's not the only backlash Bella seems to have faced, because the model opened up about her career since vocalising her views.

Speaking on Noor Tagouri’s Rep podcast, Bella explained: "I had so many companies that stopped working with me," after she became vocal about supporting Palestine.

She even went on to say that she had 'friends that completely dropped' her.

Despite the response to her advocacy, Bella explained: "I know my family enough, I know my own history enough. And that should be enough.”

She went on to say in a recent interview for GQ that 'I speak about [Palestine] for the elderly that are still living there that have never been able to see Palestine free, and for the children that can still grow up and have a beautiful life'.

The supermodel added that she doesn't care if she loses her job: "I realised that I’m not on this earth to be a model.

"I’m so lucky and blessed that I’m in a position where I can speak out the way that I do. And really, the downfall is what? That I lose my job?"
