Among the condolences, one heartbreaking Takeoff interview which was filmed just last week is being shared far and wide today, in which the rapper mentions his own death. You can watch it below:

Takeoff had been speaking to Drink Champs with Quavo when he made the comment.

Following Migos' split, the uncle and nephew duo had been on to promote their new two-part rap group Unc & Neph.

During the episode, host N.O.R.E told Takeoff: "One thing I really love about the project is how you shining. Of course, you were shining before but I felt like you were dancing on this one.

"It was your time to prove, is that something you had on your mind when you were going into that?"

Takeoff replied: "For sure. I'm chill, I'm laid back, but it's time to pop it. I want to get into my flow.

"Time to give me my flowers. I don't want them when I ain't here."

The interview premiered on 22 October - just ten days before Takeoff's unexpected death.

You can listen to the full interview here.

Tributes have been pouring in across the music industry following the heartbreaking news.

Trap artist Lil Pump wrote: "Forever a legend, I can't believe this," while music executive Cole Bennett tweeted: "Nothing makes sense anymore. nothing at all."

Chris Eubank Jr's tribute read: "I remember Takeoff being a very down to earth, cool dude.

"Can’t believe I’m having to say this again about another young Black star being killed for no reason, something really has to change in the industry."

Migos were first formed in 2008 and went on to achieve incredible success.

Takeoff launched his music career in 2008 alongside his uncle Quavo (Quavious Keyate Marshall) and cousin Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus), initially going by the name Polo Club.

Later, the trio changed their name to Migos, and went on to become one of the most influential rap groups of their generation.

Over the years, they had their share of chart-topping singles, including 'MotorSport', 'Stir Fry', 'Walk It Talk It', and 'Bad and Boujee'.

Earlier this year, the trio split up over an alleged disagreement with Offset.

Discussing the split on the Big Facts podcast, Quavo cryptically said: "We stand on real deal loyalty, and sometimes that... ain't displayed.

"This ain't got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, nothing. This got something to do with the three brothers."

Last month, Takeoff and Quavo rebranded as a duo, releasing the album Only Built For Infinity Links, which reached number seven in the US Billboard 200 chart, and number three in the R&B/ Hip-Hop Albums chart.
