Slipknot fans think band is about to break up as cryptic post is shared after Craig Jones announcement

Fans of Slipknot are still stuck wondering what's going to happen to their beloved band

In their search for answers fans of Slipknot are still spinning in confusion after the band's latest update on social media.

First there was an announcement that Craig Jones would be leaving the band which came pretty much out of the blue.

Then confusion reigned after the band deleted the post, leaving fans frazzled as they tried to figure out exactly what this was all supposed to mean.

Now they've released something else on social media which has really not provided answers to any burning questions.

The band's latest social media post is a brief video of a dingy locale with the noise of what sounds like someone emptying their bladder playing over it all.

While fans used to be constantly asking 'where is Craig' now they're wondering if this means the band is going to break up.

One fan wondered 'what the f**k' they were watching while another slammed Slipknot as a 'dead band'.

Others thought it was a sign that there was a 'new song coming' but it actually appears to be a promotion for this, a longer video with nine mannequins where all but one of them gets smashed to bits.

Someone else said it was better to accept that 'we are all just along for the ride' and to see what would happen with Slipknot's future when a more concrete update came.

A fan who'd seen the full thing thought there would be one of two explanations behind the whole thing.

They said: "Blowing up all the mannequins except for one? This is either Clown's way of expressing how he's the only original member left, or a weird way of hinting that Slipknot are splitting up."

What does this all mean for Slipknot?

Even the faintest prospect of Slipknot breaking up was upsetting to the band's fans, with one saying they were 'gonna cry' if the band split up and a second saying 'pls be a farewell tour'.

"I just watched the video on the website and I still have no idea what’s going on. It’s got to be either new masks, new music video or change in line-up…f**k knows," another fan said.

A few were still holding out hope that Craig might not be gone for good as they wondered if he 'just changed mask' while also pondering the great mystery of 'wtf did I just watch'.

Time will tell exactly what Slipknot means with all of this and whether a new member of the band will soon be introduced to replace Craig.
