WWE star Hornswoggle has spoken out against Peter Dinklage following his response to the live-action remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Last week, Dinklage spoke about the live action remake on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, to which Disney promptly responded.

Now, Hornswoggle, real name Dylan Mark Postl, has shared his thoughts about the subject – and he isn't pleased with Dinklage.

Dinklage said that while he had 'love and respect' for the actress playing Snow White, he wasn't comfortable with the film being remade.

He said: 'Literally no offence to anyone, but I was a little taken aback when they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White. You're still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and look at what you're doing here. It makes no sense to me.'

He then added that the remake was ultimately a 'f*cking backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together'.

Disney promptly responded by saying, 'To avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community. We look forward to sharing more as the films heads into production after a length development period.'

The company then announced the characters would be portrayed as 'magical creatures', with the studio looking for voice actors to play the characters.

This led to a response from Postl, who thought Dinklage's comments did more harm than good.

The professional wrestler took to Twitter to announce his frustration.

The tweet read, 'Oh! So take roles AWAY from the dwarf community?! Roles that are very few and far between as is. That makes a whole lot of sense! Hey Dinklage, you’re a god damned idiot.'

He then added, 'By the way, this is the same guy that starred in ELF and had no issue with it. That paycheck “supported” the dwarfism community I’m sure.'

Postl then noted that Dinklage's comment about the men living in a 'cave' was inaccurate.

He added, 'Also, they weren’t living in a cave, it was a house dumbass! Don’t worry though, “Snow White and the 7 normal-sized humans” will connect GREAT with today’s society!'

The reboot of the film is currently in production, with Marc Webb directing. The film will star Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen.
