Eagle-eyed fans have already noticed that a scene from the highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder perfectly recreates an illustration from the original comic.

As the official teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder dropped yesterday, 18 April, fans were quick to compare the film to the comic.

Starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor himself, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, the film is set for release on 8 July in the US and UK.

Jumping at the bit to learn more about the latest addition to the Marvel film family, users took to Twitter to share comparisons with

the original comic.

Sharing the images, fans were quick to point out the attention to detail in the new film, with one user sharing a side-by-side of the comic and movie scene, captioning the post: "From comics to live-action. #ThorLoveAndThunder."

And we have to say, it's one of the most incredible comic-accurate shots we've seen from the franchise.

The film shot shows Thor and Korg standing on a large rock, overlooking a dead god, who in the comics is known as Falligar the Behemoth.

While Thor is alone in the comic, the rest of the scene is pretty bang on.

The original comic was part of Thor: God of Thunder Vol. 1 #3, which was released in December 2012.

Part of the God Butcher story arc, the comic was written by Jason Aaron, illustrated by Esad Ribić, with the colour being done by Ive Svorcina.

Of course, people were quick to comment on the incredible side-by-side shots, with one user writing: "Can more comic book movies just straight up recreate comic panels? It’s always awesome when they do it."

Another added: "I think everyone can agree that the addition of Korg is a welcome differentiation from the comics."

A third said: "Probably the most comic accurate movies ever made other than the animated Dark Knight Returns"

However, others commented: "Would have been nice to keep some of that gorgeous color in there instead of draining it like that."

Despite the comment on the film's colour, fans seemed thrilled with the shot and the rest of the teaser trailer, particularly with the music choice of Guns N' Roses' 1987 hit 'Sweet Child O' Mine'.

"You can bring out so many emotions in me from good music choice lol, this looks amazing," one fan wrote.

The film will come to theatres this summer, and after seeing the trailer, we can't wait.
