Stranger Things 4 Theory Suggests 001 Could Be Eleven's Real Dad

One Stranger Things theory thinks the show might be setting Eleven up for a Darth Vader moment in the final season.

Stranger Things fans have cooked up another theory and this one claims to have found out who Eleven's real father is.

Eleven, who is played by Millie Bobby Brown, has had a couple of father figures over the course of the hit Netflix series, though we are yet to meet her real dad or even hear his name.

First there was Dr Brenner (Matthew Modine), who kept her locked up in a lab and experimented on her to test her powers.

While she was upset to see him die in season four, 'Papa' really won't be winning father of the year any time soon thanks to his habit of locking up telekinetic kids and experimenting on them.

Next up was Jim Hopper (David Harbour), everyone's favourite police chief who took her in and sheltered her from the authorities on the condition that she leave her door open three inches.

The pair shared a heartwarming reunion in the season four finale after Hopper escaped his season-long imprisonment in a Russian gulag. Basically, for all intents and purposes, he's Eleven's dad... just not her biological one.

A new fan theory suggests none other than Vecna is Eleven's real father.

So, who is Eleven's biological father? Well, according to PopBuzz, the new theory argues that Eleven's real dad is none other than the original Hawkins lab test subject 001, who was revealed to be Henry Creel/Vecna.

That's right, some fans think Vecna himself is secretly Eleven's dad as she's the only test subject who had powers on par with his abilities.

If that ends up being the case then Eleven could have her very own Darth Vader moment in season five as Vecna reveals all about her real parentage.

This group of fans believe inheriting some of Vecna's genetics is the key behind Eleven's powers, though we can't imagine she'd be too thrilled if it turned out to be true.

There's going to be a long wait until the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, leaving the most dedicated fans with little to do but search every line for possible hints at future revelations.

We have yet to meet Eleven's real father in Stranger Things, unless you count the books.

The thing is, this theory probably isn't going to turn out to be true as according to the Stranger Things novel 'Suspicious Minds', Eleven's father has already been identified as one Andrew Rich.

In the book he was an old boyfriend of Terry Ives (Aimee Mullins), Eleven's biological mother, until he was drafted into the Vietnam War thanks to the machinations of Dr Brenner where he died aged 19.

As for other fan theories swirling around, there have been a few swirling around fan favourite character Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) thanks to his quick rise to popularity.

One theory suggested he could secretly have been a test subject at the Hawkins lab himself and was the young boy we met with the 010 tattoo.

Meanwhile, some poor souls likely in denial over newcomer Eddie Munson's tragic death are hoping he will get resurrected like a Dungeons and Dragons character so he can come back in season five and defeat Vecna.

The entirety of Stranger Things season four is available to stream on Netflix.
