Seven seasons, a spin-off show, and a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score - do you need anything else to convince you to settle in to a new series?

How about a recommendation from award-winning author and master of horror, Stephen King? Well, then good news, this one ticks all the boxes.

Don't worry if you're not big in to the scary stuff - this Amazon Prime series is actually a drama with a cast made up of the likes of Titus Welliver, Jamie Hector,

Amy Aquino and Lance Reddick, but it's still received King's seal of approval.

The man who brought us titles like IT and The Shining took to X, formerly Twitter, to share his thoughts on the series in 2020, just before the release of the seventh and final season in 2021.

Titled Bosch, the series received one of the best recommendations you can get as King wrote: "There’s nothing better than BOSCH (Amazon Prime). The story is engrossing, the cast—led my Titus Welliver—is superb, and nobody is phoning it in. One of the best shows now on TV."

Having first arrived in 2014, the series follows Harry Bosch (Welliver), a homicide detective in the LAPD who stops at nothing to solve the cases that come his way - even if that means crossing the line every now and again.

After the original series came to an end, the character's storyline continued in the spin-off show Bosch: Legacy, which ran for three seasons before reaching its finale just last month.

Needless to say, there's a lot of Bosch to sink your teeth into, and you can do it all now on Prime Video.

Bosch has a score of 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes (Prime Video)

King isn't the only one to recommend the series, as it's received a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 97 percent on the Tomatometer, as well as a 94 percent score on the Popcornmeter.

One viewer went as far as to describe the series as 'one of the most underrated TV shows' they've ever seen, adding: "It's a proper L.A Noire detective show. No ridiculous leaps of knowledge, no OTT characters...just proper detective work. Just as good as the books."

Another wrote: "Bosch is the best series I've ever seen. The writing by @Connellybooks is superb. Gritty, neo-noir, complex characters & even more complex relationships. Its an amazing ensemble piece but @welliver_titus is simply sublime as Bosch."

The reviews speak for themselves - go and give Bosch a try!
