Jasmin Savoy Brown has spoken out about her potential feature in the next instalments of Scream at the 75th Emmy awards.

There seems to be a lot of unanswered questions around the ‘core four’ and who will feature in the next instalment of the horror franchise.

This comes after it was announced that both Melissa Barerra and Jenna Ortega will star in the next film, but then both of them leaving during the project.

Ortega chose to leave the film for reasons said to be linked to scheduling clashes with Netflix's Wednesday, just one day after Barerra was fired after speaking out on social media about the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

It has been reported that both of the co-stars' departures were not related, but it sure is a coincidence.

Melissa Barrera left the project in November.

Spyglass, the production company behind the most recent films, put out a short statement regarding Barerra’s departure, saying: “We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech.”

However, she responded to the claims stating that she was simply using her platforms to raise awareness of the war.

Posting to her Instagram, she said: “First and foremost I condemn antisemitism and Islamophobia.

“I condemn hate and prejudice of any kind against any group of people.

"As a Latina, a proud Mexicana, I feel the responsibility of having a platform that allows me the privilege of being heard, and therefore I have tried to use it to raise awareness about issues I care about and to lend my voice to those in need."

And it wasn’t just the two stars that dropped out of the project.

Happy Death Day's Christopher Landon, who was signed up to direct, announced his departure in December.

Speaking about his choice, he said it was ‘a dream job that turned into a nightmare’.

As for Brown, it appears she just simply hasn’t been asked to feature in the next instalment of the horror-fest.

In an interview at the 75th Emmy Awards with Entertainment Tonight, she said: “I haven't gotten a call.

“If you want to ask Spyglass what they’re doing, you can.”

After reuniting with her co-stars, she said: “Jenna's my heart and soul — I'll protect her forever, I love her.

"I love Melissa, I love Jack, I love Mason.

“It just made me happy!

“It was just fun to see them."
