American Horror Story viewers reckon Kim Kardashian should win an Emmy Award for her season

They have been blown away by her acting skills in Delicate.

Kim Kardashian has actually left fans pretty shocked after the first episode of American Horror Story: Delicate was released.

When the reality TV star was first announced to be joining the legendary series, people said they would boycott the show.

However, it seems like viewers have been won over after just one instalment.

The premiere episode dropped this week and fans raced to social media to give their honest opinions on Kim's acting skills.

One wrote: "brava @KimKardashian very impressed with your first episode!"

Another added: "Why is Kim Kardashian kind of acting?"

A third said: "MAD props to @KimKardashian ’s acting skills in #AHS."

A fourth commented: "Oh my gawd @KimKardashian the acting skilllllllssss !! You’re doing amazing, Sweetie."

Some even suggested she was due an Emmy Award nomination for her skills.

Of course, it wasn't all praise and celebrations.

There were some viewers who thought the series had lost its edge, however that's hard to judge after just one episode.

A few fans have drawn some similarities between Kim's character, Siobhan, and her mom, Kris Jenner.

Kardashian is joined on screen by the likes of Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne.

Roberts plays an A-list celebrity named Anna Victoria Alcott who is desperate to have a baby.

Kim's Siobhan wants the star to keep her eyes on her career rather than starting a family.

However, judging by the trailer, she undergoes a dodgy procedure to fall pregnant and her whole world starts to spiral.

Based on Danielle Valentine’s book Delicate Condition, the series will see Roberts convinced demonic forces are trying to stop her pregnancy.

Showrunner Ryan Murphy told the Hollywood Reporter that Kim Kardashian's role had been designed for the reality star, adding: "[Halley Feiffer] has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done."

There's an underlying theme relating to spiders that looks like it will be teased out over the course of the season.

Kim admitted it was pretty intense to have her first real acting gig.

In a behind-the-scenes video, she opened up about the nerves of being in front of the camera in this way.

"Anytime you try something, you just have to have the intention of growing and challenging yourself.

"Then you just kind of release and have fun."

She added that it didn't help that she's also deathly afraid of spiders.

"These lashes were sitting on the counter, and I almost screamed because I thought it was a spider," Kim explained.
