Amazon Prime Video has just bought the rights to a new movie starring Ben Affleck that is so good fans have been binging it on repeat at theaters.

Unsurprisingly, the two-time Academy Award-winner's latest film boasts an impressive 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and a credit of just how good it is is the fact that viewers have been watching it over and over again at the cinema.

When you've got the likes of Matt Damon serving as an executive producer, with Affleck himself also having helped produce the production, you can expect results.

"Loved it!!!! Saw it twice already!!!Love Ben ! He is Wow! As an actor. Plus hes Wow. Good looking Guy," one person wrote on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film follows Affleck's character as he tries to uncover exactly what happened, and who murdered a good friend of his - but in order to do so he needs the assistance of his estranged brother, played by Jon Bernthal.

But their pursuit for revenge leads them all the way to the US Treasury deputy director, played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and they find themselves ravelled in something much bigger than their friend's death.

The movie I'm going on about is of course The Accountant 2, the sequel to the first picture that was released back in 2016.

Amazon Prime Video viewers will be happy to hear the news that it can be streamed for free on the platform - if you have a Prime membership.

The reviews speak for themselves, as another Rotten Tomatoes verified critic who gave it top marks shared their opinion: "Great continuation of the first film, more time with the brother dynamic. great action. A good movie for anyone who has a neurodivergent person in their life."

"If you liked the first one, youll like this one too. Even the back stories, which I normally think are a waste of time, are great entertainment. Hope theres a third one," another critic, who gave The Accountant 2 five stars, commented.

Speaking about how this second instalment of The Accountant series came about, Affleck told UNILAD: "Gavin and Bill had a script that they had been working on that they really liked, and they brought it to me. At the time, I'd just started Artists Equity [a production company he co-founded with close friend and fellow actor Matt Damon]."

"It was very lucky that we were that company evolved at the right time," he continued, "and I was able to, you know, remove the few sort of hurdles that prevented it from happening and strike some deals that made it possible."

While it has seemingly been a pain-staking process to get The Accountant 2 made, Affleck thinks the years-long wait actually worked in their favor.

He mused: "I think maybe it served us, because we had waited a long time and everybody had a more fully evolved idea of what they wanted to do."
