A 2022 Korean Drama has many fans clamoring for a season 2 as they say it will 'stay with you'.

Korean dramas, which are oftentimes simply referred to as K-dramas, have grown immensely in popularity in recent years. While some, most notably Squid Game, have garnered mainstream attention across the entire world, the genre is full of movies and TV shows that are just as beloved and critically acclaimed by devoted fans of the genre.

According to those dedicated fans, one of the more captivating series in this category is The Glory, a psychological thriller that was released in two parts, with the first half of the season dropping in December 2022 and the second half releasing in March 2023.

The two-part first season of the show follows a woman seeking revenge on the people who orchestrated her ruthless bullying as a child. Her calculated revenge plot is carried out across 16 episodes that run for over 45 minutes each, making this a meaty and binge-able show with plenty of content to be seen.

With this strong premise, the show amazed viewers, being nominated and even winning several awards throughout 2023 and 2024.

When the subject of the show came up on Facebook, many people applauded the show and ranked it among the best K-dramas they had ever seen.

“One of the best Kdrama on Netflix,” one commenter said.

Another noted their appreciation for how calculated the events of the show were, stating: “It’s really good! I like how smooth the revenge was. Not the typical where the main character kills the enemies. It’s worth watching.”

A third agreed with both sentiments: “One of the absolute best. Put in the time and the payoff is HUGE. This one will stay with you.”

Beyond its critical reception, the show also garnered widespread viewership, becoming the most popular non-English show of 2023 in Netflix’s catalog. Considering the show’s success, many fans are both shocked and upset to learn it was never confirmed to be getting a season two.

“I wish they would make a second season but I highly doubt it!” one fan of the show said, adding: “I’ve watched it twice and will probably watch it again.”

However, even if the show never gets the go-ahead for a second season, it seems as though many fans are content with the two parts of the show that are currently available to watch on Netflix.
