People have already finished an entire season of a series that was only released on Thursday (November 21).

If you're looking for a new show to watch, then look no further than Netflix as the streaming giant has just introduced a hit crime comedy that has received glowing reviews from almost everyone who has watched it.

"The series just kind of drifts along amiably, counting that you’d rather soak in its hot bath than risk changing the channel and catching a chill," says Sam Adams, a top film critic from Slate magazine.

Yes, what he's getting at is that it's an easy watch and that's clearly what the experts over at IMDb think as they've rated it a 7.7 out of 10 - a monster score for any comedy, film or TV.

So, what's this new and funny crime series called? A Man on the Inside.

All you need to do is watch the trailer and you'll be hooked.

The synopsis reads: "A retired widow named Charles, played by Ted Danson, is encouraged to find something that he enjoys and he happens upon a job as an assistant to a private investigator and it gives him a new lease on life as he moves in to a care home as a mole trying to find a jewel thief."

One Facebook user took to the group Netflix Bangers to ask for people's thoughts on the witty and quirky sitcom.

One user replied: "I am so pleased to find a show that is actually worth watching again. I was starting to despair!! I am enjoying it !!"

Another commented: "Loves it binged it all last night."

A third wrote: "Very good . A must watch."

While someone else simply replied it was '10/10'.

If the public's high opinion on the show isn't enough to sway you, then I know what might. Unlike other shows, where the ending kind of fizzles out and is reflected in a poor IMDb rating of the final episode, for A Man on the Inside it is the opposite.

Its last episode of the season received an incredible score of 9.1 out of 10 on the movie rating platform.

The glowing reviews kept on coming as one person wrote on the social media platform: "I enjoyed it and can’t wait for season 2."

A second typed: "Loved it, easy watch and fun, hopefully not too long for next season."

While others were in awe of Danson's acting.

Another person said: "Anything I've seen him in had been great so I'm going to assume this will be too."

"He’s magnetic everything he’s ever done has been… MAGIC," another added.

Will you be switching A Man on the Inside on tonight?
