Netflix viewers have found what you should watch next after watching ‘terrifying’ new shark movie being called 10/10

Netflix viewers have their next watch after a 10/10 shark movie that's second in the charts

It’s hard to predict when something is going to be a massive hit on Netflix.

Sure, sometimes you just know – I’m not going to be shocked for one when the new season of Stranger Things shoots to the top of the Netflix charts.

It’s always fun though when a film you knew nothing about suddenly is the biggest show on the biggest streamer around.

That was the case for Under Paris, Netflix’s newest film that shot to number one on the list (only to be dislodged soon after by Hit Man).

Sitting pretty at number two in the charts, the film has been a smash hit with Netflix viewers – with many calling it a ‘10/10’.

Under Paris features a giant shark appearing in the Seine River in Paris – and the race against time to save the city from the bloodbath it is on course to cause.

As with any film though, fans are already wondering what to watch next.

Sometimes these recommendations can be less than obvious, The Mummy and Pirates of the Caribbean may have nothing in common – but they work perfectly as a double billing.

Sometimes though, the obvious choice is the right one.

After watching Under Paris, a film about a giant shark, Netflix fans are suggesting you watch… The Meg. A film about a giant shark.

Figures.

The recommendations came in the comments of a post in the Netflix Bangers Facebook group.

A fan posted a picture of Under Paris saying: “I found The Meg (another shark movie) to be very corny. Is this movie similar in that regard? I really, really want to watch it, but I don’t want to be disappointed.”

Despite this, the comments went to bat for The Meg.

One said: “The Meg is wayyyy better than this”, whilst another said: “Meg and Meg 2 are 100% better then under Paris”.

One comment I think summed up a lot of thoughts on it, saying: “It's a mega killer shark movie.

“So yes, it's corny, but some people love that corny syfy channel stuff.”

In my opinion if you go into a giant shark movie that isn't Jaws and are expecting anything but cheesy fun, that's on you.

A comment under a post looking for reviews of Under Paris on the subreddit r/horror said: “For a shark movie it's really good. I say top 4 along with Jaws, Deep Blue Sea, and The Meg (first).”

So, if you’re pro-Under Paris keep the shark fever going and watch The Meg, and if you’re really feeling it – stick on Sharknado.
