These secret Netflix codes will unlock all the hidden movies and shows

Think you've just about exhausted all your film options on Netflix? Well, guess again.

There are, of course, the tried and tested film and TV shows on the popular streamer. I mean, you can't go wrong with a bit of Stranger Things can you?

But you may want to be trying something new out for this festive season, and while you may not know what film or series you want to watch, but may have a pretty indication of the genre.

Well, there's a pretty handy archive of secret codes you can use to find exactly what you are looking for.

You can find these codes by opening your web browser, typing in 'netflix.com/browse/genre/' and then adding your ID code of choice to the end of the URL.

The categories in question are also extremely specific niche including the likes of Deep Sea Horror Movies (45028), Spicy Romance (81572628) and Steamy Romantic Movies (35800) - if those particular categories float your boat.
