Netflix is adding a critically-acclaimed series to its catalogue - and fans are delighted.

The streaming service is hot on its original content, but every now and then it adds an absolute banger from a different network.

This particular TV series ran for four seasons, winning two Golden Globe Awards and three Primetime Emmy Awards.

Now, with its arrival on Netflix, fans are hoping the show will reach a whole new status of popularity.

The thriller series was created by Leave the World Behind's Sam Esmail and first aired on USA Network between 2015 and 2019.

It follows Elliot Alderson (The Amateur's Rami Malek), a talented but troubled cybersecurity engineer in New York City who secretly works as a vigilante hacker.

Struggling with mental health issues including social anxiety and depression, Elliot is recruited by a mysterious anarchist (Christian Slater) to join a hacktivist group called fsociety.

Their goal is to encrypt the financial data of E Corp, the world’s largest conglomerate, and erase all consumer debt records - triggering a global revolution.

Carrie's Portia Doubleday, Suburgatory's Carly Chaikin and Let The Right One In's Dominique DiPierro also star. The show in question is Mr Robot - and all four seasons join Netflix US on Thursday (July 3).

The entire series has earned a stunning 94 percent score from Rotten Tomatoes critics, with the first season winning an almost-perfect 98 percent.

USA Today's Kelly Lawler described it as 'dark, disturbing and full of twists and turns,' adding: "The series became USA's breakout drama for a reason."
