New Netflix series is leaving viewers terrified after every episode

The new Netflix show has been leaving some people seriously unnerved

Fans of a new Netflix horror series have been left feeling scared and anxious after watching every single episode.

It’s called Dear Child, and if you like horror or thriller shows then it might just be your new favourite show.

If you don’t, you might as well sit this one out, because apparently it’s very unnerving indeed.

The first thing to note about Dear Child is that it’s entirely dubbed from the original German, as it’s based on a novel of the same name - in German, of course - by Romy Hausmann.

Well, you can have subtitles or the original language, if you speak German.

Dear Child has been turned into a miniseries from the original bestselling book, and tells the story of a woman who is left in a strange predicament after an incident in a forest.

The woman is hit by a car as she flees through the woods, before waking up in hospital in a seriously bad state.

Upon waking, she doesn’t know where she was, how long she’s been out, or even what her name is.

Dear Child is available on Netflix now.

However, she does know that she was raped, amongst other horrific things that happened to her.

She is joined in the hospital by a child called Hannah who is also injured and seems to be her daughter.

Things start to get weirder and weirder as things progress, so we’ll not get too far into the plot.

Just know that everything isn’t quite as it seems, and there are twists and turns galore.

It stars Kim Riedle in the main role, supported by Naila Schuberth who plays Hannah.

It was released on September 7, and it’s been setting tongues wagging since then, with many chiming in to express how scared they were, as well as how they didn’t have any idea what was going on.

Isn’t that a good thing for a horror/thriller?

Loads of people are keen on it, anyway.

One person wrote: “Just watched Dear Child on Netflix. Definitely worth the watch. Excellent German-language thriller.”

Another said: “I enjoyed it, had me anxious every episode.”

A third commented: “I watched it yesterday and finished all at midnight.

“I like it and couldn’t stop.”

“Loved it but made me nervous,” reacted a fourth.

So, if that is your sort of thing, then you’ve no doubt got a decent show to pass the time with.

If not, you might want to stick to something a bit more chilled out or light-hearted.
