Adam Sandler breaks Rotten Tomatoes record with new Netflix film that stars his wife and daughters

The comedy-drama has debuted with a pretty impressive score on the Tomatometer

After earning a reputation for being savaged by film critics, Adam Sandler has turned things around and broken a Rotten Tomatoes record with his new Netflix film, which stars both his wife and daughters.

The brand-new Netflix flick You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, which was adapted from Fiona Rosenbloom's 2005 coming-of-age novel of the same name, has broken a career record for Sandler with a near-perfect score on the Tomatometer.

The film follows Stacy Friedman and her best friend Lydia Katz, who are navigating the ups and downs of middle school.

Stacy is busy planning her bat mitzvah and dreaming about her crush Andy Goldfarb. Check out the trailer here:

Things take a turn when Stacy is left devastated when Lydia steals Andy from her, causing the two friends to have a fall-out.

Sandler's daughter Sunny plays the lead role of Stacy, while his elder daughter Sadie also makes an appearance in the flick.

The Uncut Gems star plays Stacy's dad and tries to help her navigate the ups and downs of adolescence.

Joining Sandler in the flick is his Uncut Gems co-star Idina Menzel, who plays his wife.

Sandler's real-life wife Jackie is also in the film. It truly is a family affair.
