James Gunn believes The Flash will be one of the 'greatest superhero movies' ever made

DC co-head Peter Safran added they were open to future collaborations with Ezra Miller despite their string of charges.

James Gunn believes The Flash will be ‘one of the greatest superhero movies ever’.

Variety reported that during a presentation on the Warner Bros. lot, the filmmaker had some words of praise for the DC movie that has copped a lot of heat amid Ezra Miller’s recent behavior.

“I will say here that Flash is probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made,” Gunn said.

The Flash is set for release on June 16 this year and we're expecting to finally see the multiverse explored properly in the DC Extended Universe.

The official synopsis says: "The Flash travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder, which brings unintended consequences to his timeline."

We'll get to see Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck reprise their iconic roles of Batman for the film.

Fans will no doubt go absolutely wild over the moment.

Miller, who uses the pronouns they/them, has faced a string of allegations that have called into question their future with the DC universe.

However, DC co-head Peter Safran confirmed they were open to future collaborations with the actor.

“Ezra is completely committed to their recovery,” Safran said.

“And we are fully supportive of that journey that they’re on right now. When the time is right, when they feel like they’re ready to have the discussion, we’ll all figure out what the best path forward is.

“But right now, they are completely focused on their recovery.

"And in our conversations with them over the last couple of months, it feels like they’re making enormous progress.”

In August 2022, Rolling Stone reported that Miller was charged with felony burglary.

Miller was accused of stealing liquor bottles from an empty home while its residents were out.

On January 13, 2023, Miller pleaded guilty to trespassing, and the court approved their plea a day later.

They were also charged with assault in Hawaii after reportedly throwing a chair at a 26-year-old woman in April 2022.

Later that year, Native American activists Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle also issued a temporary restraining order against Miller on behalf of their daughter, 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes.

The parents said the actor groomed their daughter for six years, leading to physical and verbal abuse, as per Vanity Fair.

The parents allege that Miller first met Tokata at a protest to save the Dakota Access Pipeline when she was 12, and they were 23.

In February, Miller reportedly met a mother and her 11-year-old child, who also uses the pronouns they/them.

The mother told Business Insider that the Perks of Being a Wallflower actor showed ‘inappropriate interest’ in her child, asking for their Instagram handle and offering to pay for their tuition.

The mother was granted a temporary harassment-protection order against Miller.
