Filmmaker behind Winnie the Pooh horror movie is now doing a dark remake of Peter Pan

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is working on Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare, following the viral success of Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.

The filmmaker behind Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey has announced he has a Peter Pan slasher film in the works.

Be prepared to never see the man in green tights the same way again.

As the Winnie-the-Pooh horror flick continues ruining childhood nostalgia, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield revealed to The Hollywood Reporter he already has another chilling flick cooking.

However, this time his company will provide their sick bloody twist on A.A. Milne and E. H. Shepard's beloved children’s story.

While little is known about the upcoming film so far, the director has disclosed it will be called Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare - and merely the sound of that sends shivers down our spines.

If it’s anything quite like Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, our head is spinning imagining the atrocities that Peter and his lost boys could get up to.

Frake-Waterfield's Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey first made headlines after pictures of the movie went viral.

People couldn't believe their eyes when they saw Winnie and Piglet trying to murder some poor strangers.

The story follows Christopher Robin returning to the forest with his family to meet his old-time friends Pooh and Piglet.

However, still feeling abandoned after Christopher left Pooh and Piglet when he headed to university, the two seek revenge resulting in a murderous rampage for human flesh.

Think Toy Story 3 meets Jeepers Creepers.

Of course, the trailer, which has garnered 4.5 million views, had the internet completely shook, as one person wrote: “Never expected a movie like this, I'm interested to see what happens.”

Another commented: “It's always interesting to see dark twists on childhood stories. I think that's why I always wished there was an American McGee's version of Alice as a movie instead of the Tim Burton one.”

A third person said: “This is definitely the kind where the movie is so bad its actually GOOD that makes we wanna see it.”

While another user shared: “A writers room in LA:

“OK, I’ve been thinking a lot about my anger issues, and I just want to make a film that juxtaposes my long lost childhood innocence, with the cruel reality of becoming an adult. Also, I really like blood.”

“Guys, I’ve got it…..…..”

The film is set to be theatrically released in hundreds of US cinemas for one day only on February 15, while Altitude has acquired Blood and Honey for the UK, and Cineplex plans to release it in Canada.
