Man reveals shocking dating requirements he was sent on Hinge and sparks controversy

Would your requirement list for a partner be as extensive?

When you are dating it can be hard to find the right match but one woman might be making that search just a touch harder, according to social media users.

Dating in the modern age isn’t exactly like it used to be in the days pre-internet.

Now there are a lot of ways you can put yourself out there and a load of different ways to meet a future partner, but with that said, this might come with some pitfalls.

With a near endless catalogue of potential partners, what you want from a future love interest has the luxury of being a little more specific.

And that is exactly what one woman on Hinge revealed, when she told a match she had a checklist for all potential hubbies.

While you might think it would include general things like, wants a family, is enjoyable to be around, that sort of stuff, her list is well... let’s just say not every man is going to make the cut.

The man who was sent the checklist shared a screenshot of the woman’s demands on the Tinder board on Reddit and it certainly caused a stir.

One of the big standouts is that to be her potential husband has to be earning at least $300k. For context, according to a 2024 report by business magazine Fast Company, earning $300K or more puts you in the top 3 percent in the US. Unlucky for those people in the 97 percent, I suppose.

Some of the other things that made the ‘bare minimum for husband’ list included ‘generous and spoils me, handles pregnancy prevention, being well connected and being socially respected’.

Check out the full list below.

People on Reddit didn’t take the list too seriously and noted that the individual the woman would be looking for, who ticks all these boxes, would be very hard to find.

One person commented: “Men that fits what she wants don’t want her.”

Another said: “I can almost guarantee that no one on tinder earns $300k a year.

“Its not even worth getting annoyed about. That individual is simply completely out of touch with reality.”

While another joked: “Huge prize! A demanding, entitled person whose greed you'll have to provide for. Also, why would she stop there? Why not start telling him he needs to hire a pool boy with a bigger c***?”

And another simply commented: “Shes going to be single forever.”

The original poster also explained to other Reddit users that he jokingly sent his own list back to her and discovered she worked as a part time personal trainer on 10k a year. He added that she eventually unmatched him. Unlucky buddy, better luck next time.
