Remember Storage Hunters? What an epic show that was back in the day, and there were some awesome finds on it.

What could have topped the list for viewers at home may have been the incredible discovery made after one woman bought a unit for $3,200 and found what was inside was worth at least ten times that price.

Over the course of three years, from 2011 to 2013, truTV blessed us with four seasons of the hit bargain hunting show, which saw a group of people travel to various locations across the US in order to bid on mysterious storage units.

They'd usually throw down thousands of dollar behind these moves, and while a lot of times, what was inside would be underwhelming, on some occasions, the show's punters landed a huge deal.

Let's talk about this insane find.

During one of the episodes back in 2015 on Storage Hunters UK, bidders viewed inside one container that only shows a car under a cover. With the way it was built, they initially assumed it could be a muscle car, but possibly a damaged one.

Many of the bidders were skeptical of the state the car would be in - but one woman in particular fancied her chances and splashed out $3,200 for the storage unit.

They ripped the sheets off the car and, to the crowd's amazement, there lay an old DMC DeLorean dating back to the early 1980s, and after a quick engine jump, it worked as good as new.

The car was made popular as it was picked by Back to the Future to be the way in which Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett 'Doc' Brown would teleport through time dimensions.

Meanwhile, over on Storage Wars ,one person forked out just $480 for a $7.5 million return as they hired someone to crack a safe inside the unit and found stacks of cash.

Host Dan Dotson has detailed the story behind one of the show's biggest finds.

Unfortunately, the buyer wasn't able to hold on the majority of the amount as the unit's previous owners heard about what happened.

"Then they got a phone call, mysteriously, from an attorney representing the folks that lost the money and the goods inside the unit," Dotson explained.

"They offered $600,000, then they doubled it to $1.2 million and they gave them $1.2 million in exchange, I guess they gave them back $6.3 million.

"The question is would you give it back, or would you keep it and would you run for the hills, or would you look over your shoulder. What would you do?"

Whatever way you look at it, it seems like a happy ending for everyone involved to me.
