A Google Maps discovery has people wondering whether a remote valley in Chile may in fact be a portal to hell.
Have you ever booted up the Google Maps application and randomly looked around streets a million miles away? No? Just me then.
Well, those who enjoy having a nosy on Google Maps have recently come across an area in South America that looks very reminiscent of a 'demon face'.
If you head to the coordinates '55°32'40.0"S 69°15'58.0"W' on Maps, then you'll find the isolated spot in the Parque Nacional Alberto de Agostini, Chile.

The Earth X account explained: "That eerie symmetrical 'face' (demon/alien/skull vibes) is classic pareidolia + Google satellite stitching artifacts.
"Cloudy area = spotty imagery, so they mirror/flip sections to fill gaps → creates weird repeating faces.
"Zoom/pan and you'll see the symmetry glitch out unnaturally. Not ancient ruins or ET base, just tech limitations in one of the most remote spots on Earth. Still creepy though."

Parque Nacional Alberto de Agostini is the third largest park in Chile and is named after De Agostini, the mountaineer who explored the area and took stunning pictures of the area.
Dubbed a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the park is home to many species, including South American sea lions and southern elephant seals, while it also boasts 'rich vegetation' and spectacular glaciers.
While there is nothing sinister about the park, many took to social to discuss the so-called 'demon face', which is undoubtedly frightening on first look.
"Sure this is someone google having a giggle but just searched for it and it is like this," one person penned on X, while a second added: "Pretty close to Antarctica and we all know there are no mysteries there! Right?"

The coordinates have also become a hot topic of conversation on Reddit, as one social media user claimed 'this can't be real'.
It's not the first time much of the internet has been left bewildered by a Google Maps find, after people found a disturbing 'help' message on land in Los Angeles.
The unnerving messages could be seen etched into sand, which led many to take to X to explain their theories.
"I honestly don't know if this is just kids fooling around, or something real, but you can get into the yard through [...] a hole in the fence," one social media user explained.
They continued: "I just like to believe this is a prank," he added, pointing out that the area is 'exposed'.
"If you're writing that, everybody sees you. It seems to me like it's just a bunch of kids playing a prank."
