Explosive new trailer for Mission Impossible 7 has just dropped

I hope you're ready to see Tom Cruise get up to some mad stuff with a motorbike, because the first trailer for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is officially here.

The actor is back in the highly anticipated new instalment of the action franchise, and I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that he's got all sorts of stunts up his sleeve.

Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt in the new movie, which also welcomes the return of fellow Mission Impossible stars Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Czerny, Vanessa Kirby and Frederick Schmidt.

The trailer opens with Cruise coming to a dramatic halt on his motorbike at the very edge of a cliff, but it's not long before he decides that not even a very, very big drop should stop him from accelerating.

It's the first time fans have seen the motorbike scene in context after Paramount previously released a behind-the-scenes look at the impressive stunt, which saw Cruise himself zoom off a cliff before opening a parachute.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is set to arrive in cinemas on 12 July.
