Woman who went through two near-death experiences reveals what the afterlife is really like

Deborah Prum described the out-of-body experiences she had

A woman who went through not one, but two near-death experiences has shared what she saw on the other side.

Deborah Prum's first near-death experience took place in the 1980s when she went into early labor with her son.

She experienced dangerously high blood pressure, low blood cell counts, liver problems, and endured seizures at the time of the scary ordeal.

As doctors rushed to save her and her son's life, Deborah says she had an out-of-body experience and found herself looking down from the hospital ceiling. During this time she felt no pain or emotion.

"All of a sudden the essence of my being was in a corner of the room looking down at everything," the Virginia mother recalled in a Tales of Resilience YouTube video.

"I really didn't feel much of anything at that point," she went on. "I felt totally dispassionate, just observing the situation — and then, nothing."

It was at this point that Deborah nearly died. She was so sick that she was put into a three-day coma because so much of her body systems were 'shutting down'.

While it was touch-and-go for her, fortunately she survived.

And this wasn't the only close encounter with death that Deborah had as 20 years later she was involved in a near-fatal car crash.

Deborah and her husband were in the car approaching a green light at an intersection when she 'saw some lights coming at us'.

"Next thing you know, I'm in this yellow space as if I'd dropped into a VAT of yellow pudding," she shared. "I was completely surrounded by this kind of yellow glow."

Like her first near-death experience, Deborah said she didn't feel an attachment to herself but felt 'the most profound peace and almost a quiet joy'.

"I still feel guilty about it but I didn't want to come back," she admitted. "I don't know where it was but I didn't want to come back. Then I sort-of reluctantly came back to this crazy scene of my husband's glasses broken, blood coming down his face, and [...] he's really pale."

At one point she said she felt a man holding her hand, but her husband said he didn't see anyone do this.

"That was always the mysterious part," Deborah said of this.

It took Deborah several months to recover from the crash. While it took a long time, she did go on to make a full recovery.
