People weigh in on 'one thing everyone should experience’ before they die

Redditors gave their favorite answers to the question 'What’s one thing you think everyone should experience at least once in their life?'

If you were to ask someone what’s the number one thing you need to do before you die, they’ll probably give a different answer than another person. So, you should just do them all.

When Redditors asked the same question, the post garnered a lot of attention, and the answers are amazing.

It was user u/Leather_Crab8301 who asked the important question, and many people had their own opinion on what you should try at least once.

They asked: "What’s one thing you think everyone should experience at least once in their life?"

One person immediately hopped on to say that everyone should try living alone.

They shared: "After a breakup, I began living alone for the first time in my life at 26. It's been two years now, certainly the best thing about being an adult. Just being free in your own space."

Another said something similar, but to actually move to another city.

They wrote: "This is one of my biggest fears. I am 35 and still live in the town I grew up in. Never lived more than 15 minutes away. Now my kids are going to go to the same school I went to. I really want to live somewhere else near the water or mountains — but I think I feel too guilty.

“My sister married a military guy at 18 and then traveled all the time. My brother moved out of state. I live on the same street as my parents. I’m the closest family they have. I want to live somewhere else, though."

When someone else said you should work in customer service, someone responded that ‘after working customer service jobs over the last few years, I’ve grown wary and distrustful and now approach everyone with the view that until proving me otherwise they’re bad.’

That sounds a little dark, so maybe work in customer service if you are surrounded by nice patrons.

Someone else’s dream was to see the northern lights, and a commenter revealed that it was a ‘magical’ experience.

If you thought the answers would only be about travel, think again.

A Redditor shared that you need to have an orgasm at least once.

In response, someone agreed and wrote: “I came here to say this. I’m a woman and didn’t experience one until my mid-30s. I thought I was 'broken' and would never have one."

One person said that you should have someone be proud of you for ‘whatever it may be’, which is so sweet.

Similarly, someone shared that you should know the love of a dog, and that’s too cute.

Dogs are definitely the best.

One commenter added: "And the ambiguous love of a cat. Knowing how different they are from each other is wild, but to be honest, it helped me to better understand boundaries and love language."

Experiencing failure at lease once was next on the list, while another said you should watch a total eclipse of the sun as seeing in real life is ‘worth going out of your way’ for.

One person said you should get stranded in the wilderness and someone else added that if you work in the service industry, you’ll treat workers better.

Learning another language was also a popular answer as it can be ‘profound’.

If these bore you, then ‘trying something completely out of your comfort zone, like skydiving or taking an improv class’ might be of interest, or even the act of being in ‘love’ like another person commented.

Or you could go skinny dipping as it’s ‘such a free feeling!’
