An expert has revealed the one thing you should do right away if you find a common 2007 house item that could soon be worth $50,000.
While hoarders may think they have a problem keeping stuff for far too many years that have no value, once in a while they are sitting on something worth thousands of dollars. So before you go emptying out the draws, one expert has revealed some items in your house could be be worth up to a whopping $50,000 or more.
Adam Koprucki, founder of Real World Investor, told the New York Post: “Most people throw away items that could pay for their retirement in just a few years.
"The truth is, certain everyday objects sitting in your home might be worth more than your stock portfolio by 2030.”

Speaking of what may be worth a decent amount nowadays, Adam added: "The first-generation iPhone, released in 2007, sold for $499 new, but sealed examples now fetch upwards of $20,000 at auction. By 2030, mint-condition models could easily surpass $50,000."
Koprucki mentioned Star Wars toys and Pokémon cards as other products potentially worth a decent amount.
Original Transformers toys from the 1980s, in sealed packaging, can sell for up to $20,000 each. Meanwhile, First-edition Harry Potter books that cost less than $20 new can fetch over $50,000 today.

“A sealed copy of Super Mario Bros. sold for $2 million in 2021," the expert revealed.

Well, Adam explained that you are best off getting the item in question valued by a professional before posting a link online to ensure you can achieve near to that maximum value.

"Online auction sites make it easier than ever to sell collectibles, but knowing exactly what you have is crucial to getting top dollar," the expert added.
Some examples of incredible sales in the past few years include a first-generation, unopened, factory-sealed 8-GB iPhone which sold for a whopping $63,000 in 2023. An even rarer model, a 4-GB original iPhone from 2007, sold for an eye-watering $190,372.80 - but it's not just tech that is selling for life-changing bucks.
First editions of books, games and retro toys can also be worth a lot too - and that's where the likes of Star Wars and Pokemon comes into play.
