‘King Curtis’ seemed to be all smiles as he left fans in hysterics with a little nod to the Wife Swap episode that propelled him to legend status.
Admittedly, Wife Swap isn’t the TV staple it once was, given that most people are streaming shows rather than sitting in front of their TV and watching cable for entertainment.
But for those who remember the show fondly, you might just recall a little kid by the name of Curtis.
It has to be said, the 6-year-old Curtis did behave like a spoilt brat, but he sure was quotable.

And a new generation has come to enjoy his antics through the magic of social media.
Hulu, certainly recognised it and shared some iconic moments of Curtis from the 2009 episode on its TikTok page.
Viewers fell in love with Curtis when new mum Joy - who happened to be a fitness instructor - entered his family’s home as part of the show’s premise.
Joy immediately got to work, binning all the unhealthy food in Curtis’ family fridge, leaving the young boy dismayed to learn that bacon would now be off the menu.

He then penned the iconic lines, “I don’t like this crap. No, I want my bacon, I gotta tell you something. Bacon is good for me.”
Curtis also seems to take his ongoing stardom in stride.
Last year, celebrating his 22nd birthday, his cousin, TikTok user Jessiitolaa, shared him recreating the iconic moments.

In the video, posted on 14 April, 2023, Curtis is seen walking around a home, and goofily smiling at the camera while the soundbites from the episode play.
This short clip certainly sent fans into overdrive.
“IS THIS REALLY KING CURTIS? TELL HIM MY FAMILY HAS BEEN QUOTING HIM FOR YEARSSSS, one user commented.
“King Curtis is now a handsome young man:) who would have thunk it,” another wrote.

“MY WHOLE HOUSEHOLD QUOTED ‘bacon is guud for me’ DAILY ,” another excited fan commented.
“I've always wondered what he was like all grown up. been quoting his famous lines for years,” a fourth wrote.
The rest of the comments are essentially other iconic lines from his episode. I can only imagine what the comments are on Curtis’ actual social media page.

But it at least seems the fanbase is alive and well and is just as in love with Curtis as they were all those years ago.
