Tipping culture is certainly a hot topic of conversation online, one that has divided opinion on social media forums across the land.

Delivery drivers have been known to refuse to deliver food and even confront customers if they're not tipped adequately, arguing it's not worth their while financially otherwise.

As for how much you should tip? Well, that's up for debate too.

Late last year, a Domino's worker and TikToker went viral after she shared how much she makes from tips as a delivery driver for the popular pizza chain.

In a video uploaded last December, Allison (@allison_green0) shared to her followers how much she makes from tips on a typical night.

On this particular cold December evening, Allison delivered pizza to 11 different households, with a variety of different tips received.

With her first order of the night, Allison was tipped $3.83 by the customer after he gave her $50 and told her to keep the change.

Very little that's for sure, but with the second order of the night, Allison received no tip at all from her next customer's after spending over $36 on pizza.

The largest tip Allison received during the evening was just over $10, with a couple more zero tips to add to the mix, too.

So in total over the course of 11 deliveries, she received $13 in cash tips and $42.29 in credit card tips, averaging at $5.03 a tip per delivery.

The TikToker made just over $50 through tips.

Allison also added in the video that it does not count her reimbursement for petrol.

She concluded the TikTok by saying: "It’s not terrible for a Monday, but it could be better - but it’s not terrible!"

A lot of people in the comment section expressed their shock at the amount Allison made on tips and the number of customers who did not leave her a tip.

"I can't believe people don't tip," one person said.

A second added: "If I can’t tip the bill or so very close to it, then I’m not going out to eat or ordering in. TIP YOUR DELIVERY DRIVERS AND SERVERS!!!!!!"

Many were left shocked by the tips.

A third added: "2/11 gave no tips? I feel like those customers should be tracked. After 5 no tip orders they get banned lol."

While a fourth remarked: "I’m sorry that some people are so cheap."

There were also people in the comments section who praised Allison's positive attitude despite not getting the best tips.

One person said: "You have such a positive attitude! I hope your manager appreciates you."

And a second added: "You have an outstanding attitude, not boring at all 10/10 delivery driver positivity!"
