Woman’s creepy wedding dress reflection is being compared to something from Black Mirror

A woman has disturbed Instagram users with a dress reflection that has been called something out of sci-fi thriller Black Mirror.

A woman who was just trying to snap herself in a wedding dress managed to take a photo that has terrified the internet and left people questioning if we're all living in a simulation.

We'll let the bride-to-be explain the terrifying story below:

Though Halloween is long gone it seems the spookiness continues as social media users were left perplexed about the photo.

At quick glance, nothing seems out of the ordinary but once you notice it, you would be forgiven for shuddering uncomfortably.

Sharing the image on her Instagram, writer and comedian Tessa Coates wrote: “Okay hello! Upgraded from stories to the grid.

“I went wedding dress shopping and the fabric of reality crumbled. This is a real photo, not photoshopped, not a pano, not a Live Photo.

“If you can’t see the problem, please keep looking and then you won’t be able to unsee it. Full story in my highlights (THE MIRROR) Please enjoy this glitch in the matrix/photo that me nearly vomit in the street. Also, I’m engaged!”

The confusing phenomena appears to show Coates in two different mirrors, striking three different poses between the mirrors and where she stands.

Social media users were quick to liken the bizarre phenomena to something out of the sci-fi thriller show Black Mirror.

Coates joked about the reaction from both her friends and social media users.

Coates joked repeatedly about the odd situation and the reaction from both her friends and social media users.

“How...is this possible? Also, congrats!! Delighted for you. And now concerned because those guys in suits will come for you,” one Instagram user commented.

“What in the Black Mirror is happening,” another confused user wrote.

“I really enjoyed the spookiness of this, I half wish I hadn't watched your story and learned the rational truth,” a third said.

Some social media users attempted to offer up explanations as to what caused the optical illusion.

Coates said she went to the Apple Store to quiz staff about the photo.

“It’s very simple. When taking any photo with a modern cellphone, especially in low light, it takes scans from left to right. Any movement will be captured even if not a pano because the mirrors are staticky placed but the subject is moving,” a user wrote.

On her highlights, Coates said she went to the Apple Store to quiz the geniuses there about the photo.

She explained that she was told that the phones are computers not cameras and does take a burst of images from left to right.

This would mean her phone captured each of her movements and combined the image into one photo.

But what do you think, a minor tech blunder or a glitch in the matrix?
