Hundreds of Yung Gravy fans throw bras on stage for wholesome 'save the nip' campaign

Yung Gravy is using his fans' bras for a very good cause.

Throwing undergarments on stage has been a staple at concerts since the days of Elvis Presley, however Yung Gravy is now using this symbol of lust for a very wholesome cause.

On Tuesday (29 November), the 26-year-old rapper shared footage from a recent concert in Minneapolis where fans were filmed throwing their bras at him on stage.

But all is not what it seems; the ‘Betty (Get Money)’ musician is planning to donate all the bras to women’s shelters.

A grand total of 159 bras were collected in Minneapolis, bringing the total to 678 bras across the musician's live shows so far.

But Yung Gravy – real name Matthew Raymond Hauri – has gone one step further by pledging to ‘match the final value with a donation to breast cancer charities'.

What a legend.

In the video Yung Gravy asks: “So ladies, how much do you pay for a decent bra these days?”

Yung Gravy rose to viral fame when his 2017 song ‘Mr. Clean’ became popular on Soundcloud.

In more recent years, the self-confessed 'MILF lover' has found success through TikTok.

His ‘save the nip’ video has been viewed 7.9 million times, with over 1.9 million likes and over 8,000 comments on TikTok.

Yung Gravy’s fans are absolutely loving his gesture, with one TikTok user commenting: “THIS IS SO WHOLESOME.”

Another fan reacted with: “This is actually such a cool and fun way to do charity!”

In response to the musician’s question about the price of bras, one account was ready with the stats. “Victoria Secret ones can range from $40-$100 (£33.41- £83.52) but a place like Walmart or other retail stores can be from $20-$40 (£16.70-£33.41).”

The rapper collected 159 in Minneapolis alone.

While someone else shared: “The one I threw was about $50 (£41.76). Thank you for supporting such a great cause!”

A fan gushed: “Just when I didn’t know I could love Gravy more.”

Earlier this month, Yung Gravy revealed he had taken TV chef Martha Stewart to a Bat Mitzvah as his date, as he once again confessed his love for older women,

The musician spoke with ET Canada about meeting up with Stewart, as well as the song he named after her.

"I rap a lot about cooking and cougars and a lot of things that Martha Stewart kind of embodies," he said.

"So I named a song after her and people on her team heard it and showed her. They reached out and we made a whole commercial campaign and have hung out a few times."

"I brought her as my date for a bat mitzvah. Martha and I are close, yeah. We check in often. She's great," he added.
