Following Whoopi Goldberg’s suspension from ABC’s The View after her “impactful” comments about the Holocaust, the public are now wondering what her net worth is following the backlash. 

The Ghost actor, comedian and television personality made her film debut in Citizen: I'm Not Losing My Mind, I'm Giving It Away in 1982, and is perhaps best known for her role as Deloris Van Cartier in the Sister Act duology. 

Now aged 66, Goldberg, born Caryn Elaine Johnson, is just one of 16 performers to have an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, an Academy Award and a Tony Award to her name.

Whoopi Goldberg has an estimated net worth of $60 million in 2022, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The site also estimates that the movie star takes home a whopping $8 million a year.

Goldberg started her career on stage in 1983, performing her one-woman production, Spook Show. She then performed the show, which was renamed Whoopi Goldberg, on Broadway in 1984 for one year. 

The actor has also ventured into the world of talk shows, becoming a moderator and co-host of ABC’s The View. 

The movie star is also an avid entrepreneur, co-founding a medicinal cannabis company, Whoopi & Maya, which makes products to combat period pains.

Furthermore, the star is an advocate for human, LGBTQ+ and women’s rights, attending and speaking at a variety of fundraisers like the 2017 Women's March in New York City and launching the Give A Damn campaign in 2010 in support of the LGBT community.
