Ryan Reynolds Bashes Hugh Jackman's Greatest Showman Continuing 'Feud'

Ryan Reynolds Bashes Hugh Jackman's Greatest Showman Continuing 'Feud'

The A-list pair's feud shows no signs of slowing down, as Reynolds took the opportunity to hurl insults at his pal

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman show no signs of letting up their public ‘feud’ anytime soon, after the Deadpool star openly dissed The Greatest Showman in a recent interview.

The long-time pals have been embroiled in a very public love-hate relationship for some time, after they first met on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine

It is not known who threw the first punch, but Reynolds previously said there is something about Jackman’s genuine kindness that gets under his skin. Charming...

This time around, Reynolds found himself in a sticky situation when being interviewed by two child reporters for Yahoo! Entertainment.

The 45-year-old was awkwardly asked why he is 'so mean to The Greatest Showman?'.

In true Reynolds fashion, the actor took the opportunity to throw an array of insults at Jackman.

‘Ok, Luna. These are the kinds of questions I like,’ he said.

‘I know for a fact he’s the one who named that movie. And I think it’s pathetic and disgusting that he insists people call him The Greatest Showman everywhere he goes, including you, just young, impressionable kids.’

Reynolds continued: ‘Goodness gracious... He is The Greatest Showman, one might say. They didn’t go with my title, which I liked way better, which was 'Mediocre Showman', or 'Meh Showman'.’

‘No, they went with 'Greatest'. Preposterous,’ he finished.

We’re not sure ‘The Meh Showman’ has quite the same ring to it.

It was only two weeks ago that Hugh Jackman made a dig at Reynolds at the premiere of his new film, The Adam Project.

Instead of congratulating his pal for landing his latest role, Jackman posted an Instagram picturing himself alongside Reynolds and director Shawn Levy with a rather funny caption.

Jackman wrote, 'I wanted to take a photo with @jennifer.garner but got stuck with these two.'

Just to show the comment was all in good humour, he added: 'Anyway. Make sure to watch #theadamproject coming to @netflix March 11.'

Of course, we can’t forget the time Jackman tricked Reynolds into wearing a hideous-looking Christmas jumper.

The Instagram photo posted by Reynolds was captioned: 'These f*cking assholes said it was a sweater party,’ with Jake Gyllenhall seemingly in on the joke.

The pair evidently have a long history of laughing at each other. And, luckily for the fans, it doesn’t look like it will be ending anytime soon.
